Spokane NW Regional
Bloomsday Youth Retreat

April 30 - May 2 the Spokane CoG7 SWORD group sponsored a youth/young adult weekend retreat at the historic Zephyer Lodge on beautiful Liberty Lake, near Spokane, Washington. We had 77 youth from the Northwest attend the retreat. Pastor Monico Muffley from Nampa, Idaho, was our guest speaker.

Our theme this year was “Bloom!” We talked about how God has called us to grow, mature, bloom, and bear fruit. We discussed areas that God is calling us to bloom in and if we were ready to be challenged to become  deep-rooted, fearless, fruit-bearing believers.

Kurt Stranberg and Jesse Hicks led the SWORD class, and Johnny Hicks and Adam Stranberg led the FYC class. This great weekend was filled with inspiration, challenge, worship, fellowship, and fun. On Sunday morning we had about 18 people who ran in the Spokane Bloomsday Race, and the rest of us met at the park for recreation and lunch.
