The Church of God (Seventh Day) is a great place to get involved in ministry with fellow believers. If you’re seeking answers about the Christian faith, this introduction will start you on your journey, as well as introduce you to our church. We hope you find it helpful.

To get started, we want you to feel welcome to come as you are. We only ask that you come wanting to be transformed by the love of Jesus.

We’re all broken in various ways. Church is where broken people find healing and celebrate that healing together. Christianity isn’t self-help; we can’t fix ourselves, because goodness doesn’t come from us. Goodness comes from God. He wants to heal us, but that healing requires us to trust Him. You may have doubts about His goodness, but if you want to believe God is good, you’re ready. Please come; you’ll discover it’s true.

We all want to be changed. Maybe your dream is to become a musician, an artist, an athlete, or an engineer. We’re eager to better ourselves, and we often pay people to help us grow. Yet when it comes to our nature, most people are content with just being human. It’s against our nature to want a new nature. The problem is, we’re fallen creatures and we’re going to die.

We’re powerless to change our mortal nature, but Jesus can do it for us. He wants the best for us, not because we’re good but because He’s good. That’s His nature. He wants to share His good nature with us, but He waits for our permission. He respects the freedom He gave us to choose that change. We can keep our mortal nature or ask to be born again. To be changed, we first must want to be changed (a repentant heart). Then we just need to trust Him (faith) and ask Him to change us.
